Basic Info
Name:Canterbury Allen
Bio

name; Canterbury Allen
nickname; Cee
age; 23
gender; Intersexed
height; 5'11"
weight; 158 lbs.
hair colour; Hot pink for the moment. Naturally blonde.
eye colour; Violet / Green
distinguishing marks; A spade-shaped birthmark on the back of his right hand; a black tattoo of a star on the inside of his pelvis (right side).
appearance; Tall and slender, Cee usually dresses in handmade clothing and things salvaged from Goodwill and the Salvation Army. He enjoys sewing and seems to have no sense of style, so it's not unusual to see him in stripes, plaid, and polka dots all at the same time. His pants are frequently fitted and patched to death, and his shirts are threadbare. He likes scarves, and will wear three at a time if he gets the whim. Cee also has a tendency to pick up pieces of broken jewelry, bits of cord, elastic bands, paperclips, and ribbon, and wears them. --His hair is just above shoulder length, and usually kept in soft spikes around his face.

He loves hats. A lot.

A 'true' hermaphrodite, Canterbury has the characteristics of both sexes, and both sets of primary and secondary sexual organs are fully functional. An unusual development, and extremely rare, it was this condition which probably encouraged his madness. --Despite his status as having both genders, he identifies as a male, and usually tapes his breasts down so that others won't notice.

personality; Mad as his first incarnation, Cee is nevertheless a harmless sort. Friendly and a bit of a clown, he'll tease and prod, chatter and smile. People love him or they hate him. --His moods tend to run in extremes, like bipolarism, but he's not actually bipolar.

Devoted to Ashton, he is possessive to a terrifying degree, and will attack anyone who even gets near the boy. --Ashton has to keep a close eye on him to avoid others getting hurt.

When he loves, he loves absolutely, to the exclusion of all else. He will ignore his own needs, the things he has to have to live, just to spend a few extra moments with his obsession. --Yes, he does obsess, and easily. But he's discovered that since Ashton, there's been no one else who has caught his attention, and it almost frightens him.

Absent-minded, he'll start doing something, stop, forget about it, and start on something else. The same thing applies to food. His kitchen is frequently a terror, and he has a colony of ants living behind an old loaf of bread. He's named every single one of them, and mourns them like his own family when he finds a dead one.

history; Born to a lower middle-class family, Canterbury exhibited signs of madness early in life. His parents, uncertain how to handle him, kept him home and locked in for most of his childhood and youth.

Unsurprisingly, this encouraged a sense of rebellion in the already-unstable boy, and he ran away from his home at sixteen. From there, he got a job as a bookstore clerk for a friend's father, and eventually an apartment, and spent the next several years struggling to survive and keep his place. --Then he met Ashton, and life changed for him forever.

Suddenly, he was half in love with a boy no older than fifteen, with no explanation why. --Naturally, the boy was disturbed by his crazy admirer, but put up with the oddly shy stalker for some reason beyond his understanding.

Answers came when both of them were pulled into Ehrinit---the Wonderland of Ashton's great-great-grandmother, Alice. Hailed as the physical incarnation of the Looking Glass, Ashton was dragged into a conflict centuries long, and Canterbury with him. --And then Cee met himself. The Mad Hatter was everything Cee was and more, and suddenly everything about his life made sense. So to speak. Not like anything about the Mad Hatter ever made sense. All the same, Canterbury thinks of the Hatter more like a strange, distant relative or ancestor than the original version of himself.

With Wynne (the not-so-wicked witch), Cheshire Cat, Arden the not!fairy, and Oscar, the Keeper of the Glass, Canterbury had suddenly found himself surrounded by people as unusual as himself. People who understood what he was and why.

He'd found home.
